Here at the Ropers Caravan World Workshop we have a dedicated and highly skilled team of industry time-served technicians who deal with all aspects of caravan maintenance. They are trained and qualified to work on all electrical and gas installations plus any of the other fixtures and fittings found in your caravan.
As well as having the right people for the job, we are rated by the Approved Workshop Scheme, the benchmark for the industry in servicing and maintenance. This scheme applies tough standards and codes of practice together with annual inspections.
More information about the services we offer appears below, but if you have any other questions or would like to make a booking, please email using the form at the bottom of the page, or call Susan in our Service Department on 01748 818 666.
Our Workshop is open 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am - 12.30pm on Saturdays. They rest on a Sunday.
When you come to Ropers Caravan World, you can be assured that the service you receive will be to the very highest standard.
As part of your Approved Caravan Service, the vehicle will be thoroughly inspected to ensure that it has a clean bill of health. This includes all the major systems, such as chassis, gas, water and internal fixtures and fittings.
All parts of the chassis are inspected. This includes the hitch head and breakaway cable, jockey wheel and corner steadies plus the structural integrity. Handbrake, suspension and shock absorbers are all part of this too. The tyres (and pressures) will also be checked and the brakes will receive a thorough inspection and clean.
The gas and water tests are designed to find possible leaks in the system. The taps, microswitches or pressure switches, and water pumps are checked. The cooking appliances and fridge are tested. The electric systems are inspected, both 12V and mains, including the battery and smoke alarm. All the internal hinges and fittings are checked as well as all the external locks, hinges, windows and seals.
A full damp/moisture test is also included for your peace of mind. (We can offer you this independent test on your vehicle at any time.)
Stored water systems can develop bacteria and build-ups over time. This can cause the water to smell or taste funny, and may damage the caravan (or your health) in the long term. Why not let us clean and sterilize your water system for you? You'll know the water you're getting through your plumbing is clean and fresh, and it saves you doing it yourself! Ask a member of our team about adding this onto your caravan servicef.
As you can see, our caravan service is a comprehensive job! You can leave your caravan with us for a few days while we do all this work, but we can accommodate you if you prefer to drop off and collect on the same day.
Please enquire using the form on this page or call Susan in our Service Department.
Our motorhome habitation service is much the same as a caravan service described above. While we are unable to service the engine this is still something that we can book for you.
As an exclusive Bailey of Bristol dealership, we have all your Bailey needs covered. We can also service all other makes and models of caravan, and provide warranty help too.
Accidents happen, and when they do we can assist in the repair process. Our team carries out insurance repairs to the highest standards. Estimates are provided FREE OF CHARGE.
Please contact Susan to make an appointment for your estimate.
